Award-winning author Sheila Lowe returns to Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt to discuss The Lies Between the Lines, the tenth installment in her long-running Claudia Rose mystery series.
For longtime listeners, Sheila will be a familiar voice. She previously joined us in Season 3, Episode 132 (link below), where we discussed her powerful memoir, Growing From the Ashes. In that conversation, we explored her writing journey, her personal experiences, and the events that shaped both her life and her career.
This time, however, our focus is on fiction.
Sheila is a Certified Forensic Document Examiner and the current president of the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation. For decades, she has worked with handwriting, questioned documents, and legal cases where tiny details can make an enormous difference. That real-world expertise has become the foundation of one of mystery fiction's most unique and authentic series.
The Claudia Rose mysteries follow forensic handwriting expert Claudia Rose as she becomes involved in dangerous investigations where documents, handwriting, and hidden clues often reveal the truth. One of the things I appreciate most about these books is that readers can jump in almost anywhere in the series and quickly feel at home with the characters and the story.
