Notice: Due to the massive redesign and creation of Burckhardt Books, some internal links in blogs posted before January 24, 2022 may no long be active. If you find a broken link, please send us an email and let us know which blog it is in. We will do our best to go back and check links in previous blogs as time permits. But let's be honest, it's going to be slow going.

Whatever Wednesday: News & Popcorn

Hello, Posse!

Happy National Popcorn Day! I don't know about you, but I do love me some popcorn. We are a divided house though. I love salty popcorn with M&Ms (a combo I got from my brother-in-law), but Pedro loves sweet like kettle corn. At least when we go to the movies we don't have to share our popcorn.

If you want to try some great new popcorn recipes today, be sure to check out my Movie Snack Recipe page. That is where I archive all my recipes from the Monday Movie Madness blog. There are loads of great popcorn recipes there.

Well, it looks like it was a very good thing I took some time off at the new year, because with what we've got planned, I will be very busy well into 2023. We are still working on setting up a podcast for the Whatever Wednesdays, Part Seven, Into the West: Family Ties is in progress, and we are doubling up on our sound setup for the podcast to work for recording the audiobooks too.

With luck, we should be able to sell the audiobooks directly from this website. Keep your fingers crossed that it works because trying to set up audiobooks for sale in the US from Germany looks to be a tricky thing with some of the regulations the host sites have on international business. I might have to wait until the next trip back to Kansas to set things up for sale if this doesn't work. I will know more on that in a few months.

But enough of the usual updates, we have an announcement . . .

Great things were born on this day, January 19th. My father, Steve Stephens, who is the face of Stephen Burckhardt turns 81 today and Burckhardt Books is officially born!

We wanted one place where you could access everything Stephen Burckhardt and Dianne Burckhardt so now we have www.BurckhardtBooks.com (<--- click to go)

You can see with the logo, we blended our western country font with more stylized font to show the personalities of the two author offerings. Yes, I know most of you know that am both Stephen and Dianne, but this is a way to draw in more readers who don't already know that.

When you go to BurckhardtBooks.com it actually takes you to a landing page for Burckhardt Books on DianneBurckhardt.com. From there, you will find links to take you to Stephen Burckhardt's web page or the homepage for Dianne Burckhardt on that same site.

I'm pretty thrilled I figured out this set up. Otherwise I would have had to create and maintain a third website, and who really has the time and money for that? Not me, that's for sure. This way I have the appearance of three websites, but only the up keep of the original two. So much better.

When you go to www.BurckhardtBooks.com, this is what you will see. Notice the web address at the top of the page is not BurckhardtBooks.com, but you are in the right place.

You will also see Stephen and Dianne Burckhardt author photos and a brief introduction along with social media links for both.

When you click on the author photos or web addresses, it takes you to the author websites for more information. Note, Dianne Burckhardt does no have an Amazon author page because I have not written anything under my actual name yet, but that will change here in the next year or so. I'm dying to finally use my forensic criminology degree to write a crime novel.

So now I'm off to create a sample podcast to see how everything sounds and will work. If I get this figured out, maybe next week can be my first Whatever Wednesday podcast. Fingers crossed!

One last thing, if you would like to send my dad birthday greetings for his 81st birthday today. Just go to our Facebook page (<-- click to go) and leave a message for Stephen on there. We will be sure to show him later today.

Have a great Wednesday, Posse!

Dianne
