I hope you are all safe and healthy. I have been saying a lot of prayers on that for everyone in the US lately. Things are really crazy in the world right now and I have been throwing myself into my work to try to find my personal "happy place" whenever the stress of the world just gets to me too much. The good thing about that is I am almost done with Part 4, Into the West: Most Wanted. I have my edits back from my wonderful editor Greg Wood and notes from my beta reader (A.K.A. mom) and this week I will be finalizing all the edits and getting it formatted to go live! FINALLY!!! It will be released sometime this month!

Today's pick is another TV miniseries that was released in 1995 and was based on a Larry McMurtry book of the same name, Buffalo Girls. This show was produced by CBS Entertainment and starred Anjelica Huston, Melanie Griffith, Gabriel Byrne, and Peter Coyote with an amazing supporting cast including Tracey Walter, Jack Palance, Charlayne Woodard Reba McEntire, Floyd 'Red Crow' Westerman, Liev Schreiber, and Russell Means.
This mini series was directed by Rod Hardy and was nominated for numerous Emmy awards (winning for sound mixing), two Golden Globes and Artios Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a TV Film or Miniseries (Anjelica Huston). It first aired in the spring of 1995 on the CBS network and was shown over two consecutive evenings.
The story centers on the fading Wild West from perspective of Calamity Jane. The action is overlaid with narrative from Jane as she describes her adventures to her oldest daughter.
