From business and branding to sweet romance, Kae Wagner shares how she blends ambitious women, emotional storytelling, coffee culture, and love into her fiction.

Hello My Happy People,
This week on Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt, I am joined by bestselling and award-winning author Kae Wagner to talk about her journey from being a successful entrepreneur and writing nonfiction business and leadership books into creating emotionally rich fiction centered around strong female characters, resilience, redemption, and love.
Much like a good cup of coffee, Kae blends warmth, ambition, emotional depth, and strong female characters into her storytelling. We discuss her newest sweet romance, Brewing Love, a story set in the sweltering heart of a Philadelphia summer where ambitious event planner Alison Cooke finds herself clashing with Ethan Caldwell, a polished corporate executive determined to cut the budget on her signature coffee-inspired gala event. As rivalry slowly turns into attraction, the story explores purpose, authenticity, ambition, and the courage it takes to pursue both career success and love.
Kae also shares how her years in business, branding, marketing, and leadership shaped the kinds of women she writes about today, women who are intelligent, driven, independent, and still open to vulnerability and connection.
We also talk about the Bold Authors Network and her passion for helping authors grow their visibility, branding, and marketing presence in today’s publishing world. As someone who built a successful business career before transitioning into fiction, Kae brings a unique perspective to both storytelling and entrepreneurship.
We get a little more personal as well, discussing everything from her golf game and favorite ice cream to her plans for Grammy’s Summer Camp this year, giving listeners a fun behind-the-scenes look at the person behind the books.
If you enjoy romance stories filled with heart, emotional depth, coffee shop charm, strong women, and slow-burn romance, this is an episode you will not want to miss.
Enjoy,
Dianne
