Hello My Happy People,
Recently during J.R. Sanders’ interview with Dianne Burckhardt on her podcast, Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt - Book Talk Podcast, the pair learned they had many things in common, from mutual author friends, to both writing historical fiction, both are trained to work in law enforcement, and they are even both originally from Kansas, having lived in towns that are only an hour apart.
J.R. eventually moved away from the MidWest and settled in Southern California with his wife Rose, where he worked as a private investigator and as a police officer. It was his work in law enforcement that led to his interest in crime novels. His love for the Old West, he attributes his Dad and family outings he took him on as a child to places like the Dalton Gang hideout, the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, Kansas, and of course, the infamous Dodge City.
It seemed like a natural progression to blend his two loves, crime and the Old West, to create the Nate Ross novels. Nate is a private investigator in 1938. If you are a fan of old Noir classic detectives, you will love the Nate Ross Series of books!. But why not hear all about it from the author himself? Don't wait, click the purple microphone to go listen now!
Enjoy,
Dianne
