Hello My Happy People,
When it comes to self-publishing almost every indie author will tell you the hardest part about the process is marketing your books. It can be the things that nightmares are made of especially if you are working with little to no advertising budget like myself.
This is when we hit social media, contact friends and and family to try to get some word of mouth going, network with other authors, and if you are like me, create a book themed podcast (BookBanter.Buzzsprout.com) where you can do most of those things in one place.
But the trials and tribulations of marketing your books can be exhausting at times and you just have to force yourself to find the lighter side of it all ...which is why we have Marketing Jokes today!
When you can beat what you are struggling with sometimes it's just best to find things to laugh about through it all. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and these jokes get you off to a great start!
Q: Why did you name your cat Social Media?
A: Because she doesn’t like me or follow me. She doesn't share anything and often attacks me for no reason.
Q: Why does the B2B marketing music group only have backup vocals? A: Because they always have trouble finding qualified leads.
Q: What do hipsters and SEO techs have in common?
A: They both love anything organic.
Q: Where is the safest place to hide all your secrets?
A: On the second page of Google results. Q: Why do marketing professionals hate trampolines? A: Because they try to avoid high bounce rates.
Q: Why did the marketing couple get a divorce? A: Because they just weren’t on the same landing page.
Q: What is a social media manager's favorite crackers? A: Insta-grahams.
Q: Did you hear about the new trend where people create content with celebrities who have the flu? A: Yes, all the videos are going viral! Q: Why did the market exec break up with her boyfriend? A: because of his lack of engagement.
Q: Why are content marketers presents always so boring? A: The only wrap them in "white papers".
And last but not least . . .
Q: Why did the cookie monster apply for a marketing job? A: He heard he would be tracking cookies.
